Kanye West threw subtle shades at his ex-wife Kim Kardashian during a speech at an awards show. After sharing a married life of six years, the 45-year-old rapper and Kardashian filed for divorce on February 19, 2021. The two are still in a custody battle following the finalization of their divorce in March this year.
The couple shares four kids together – North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. Both celebrities dated a few people after their separation. Kim finally settled for Pete Davidson. Kanye has been quite vocal about his concerns regarding their relationship, especially since Pete has been getting close to his kids.

Kanye West Throws Shade At Kim Kardashian
Sources confirmed last week that the 2022 BET Awards will feature a star-studded grand tribute performance to pay honor to Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. Sunday night’s ceremony was all about congratulating him with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. Kanye West surprisingly took the stage to honor his beloved friend with some lines at the end of the show.
Donning a zip-up hoodie, and a cap with his face covered, Kanye addressed the audience at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles about how Diddy has inspired him over the years throughout his own career. Although he went emotional at one point during his speech, he still managed to crack a joke about his failed marriage to Kim Kardashian.
“I go to Diddy for advice to this day,” he said. “He inspires so many of my choices. So many of my life choices. My wife choices. And here we are — thanks for that, Puff.”
“I’m declaring myself legally dead for a year,” Kanye declared to the bewilderment of the audience. “This man has survived a lot of stuff and broke down a lot of doors so we could be here today,” he insisted. “He broke down so many doors about classism, taste, culture, swag. Puff, if I never told you…I love you.”
