In a social media image that has now aged beautifully, Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande traded the singer’s “Pete Davidson” lyrics.
The “Kardashians” star captioned a selfie of herself getting into her car in 2018 with the remark, “Universe must have my back,” a reference to Grande’s song about her now-ex-fiancé. Exactly on time, Grande commented, “Fell from the sky into my lap.”
Knowing Kardashian’s current relationship with Davidson, the formerly normal but now-hilarious exchange reappeared Monday on the Instagram account Comments by Celebs, where fans and followers were left reeling by the irony.
“This aged beautifully ????????????????????????,” one of the fans wrote. The other joked, “*Spits my coffee out* ????.” “This is f–ked,” commented another.
What makes the situation even more bizarre is that this is not the only time the Skims founder has found herself using Grande’s lyrics. She most recently used the pop star’s “Just Like Magic” song as the caption for a February post.
Kim Had No Intention Of Making A Link To Ariana’s Lyrics
After fans went crazy over the caption, sources exclusively told Page Six that it was “pure coincidence”. Kardashian did not intend to make a connection to the song.
The 28-year-old comic and Grande, who met on “Saturday Night Live,” called off their engagement in October 2018, barely five months after they started dating.
In May 2021, the Grammy winner married real estate agent Dalton Gomez. In November, Page Six learned exclusively that Kardashian, 41, and Davidson are dating.
Though it appears that the couple is not getting married anytime soon. The relationship just progressed to a point that North West, the reality star’s kid, has met the “Big Time Adolescence.”
“I mean, I am a relationship kind of girl, for sure. I wouldn’t be with someone if I didn’t plan on spending a lot of my time with them.” Kardashian went on to explain to Robin Roberts of her connection with Davidson.
“Obviously I wanna take my time, but I’m very happy and very content, and it’s such a good feeling just to be at peace.”
In her previous marriage to Kanye West, she had three children: North, 8, Saint, 6, and Psalm, 2.
