Lizzo has decided to take action in response to the recent judgment made by the United States Supreme Court that overturned a ruling made in 1973 that protected a woman’s fundamental right to have an abortion.
The singer best known for her hit song “Grrrls” has announced that she would donate $500,000 from the proceeds of her upcoming tour to Planned Parenthood and other organizations that deal with abortion-related issues in honor of the imminent release of her record.

Abortion And Planned Parenthood Funds Will Receive $1 Million From Lizzo
As soon as the Supreme Court decided to overturn Roe v. Wade, Lizzo made a commitment to donate $500,000 from the proceeds of her tour to Planned Parenthood and other organizations that support abortion rights.

She stated that Live Nation had pledged to match her donation dollar for dollar. According to what the singer mentioned on her Twitter account, groups fighting for abortion rights “will need funding to continue offering services to persons who are most harmed by this prohibition.” The most important thing is for people to take action and speak loudly.

Abortion is projected to be prohibited in at least 16 states in the near future since governments can now decide what a woman can do with her body. According to CNN, at least 21 states currently have legislation or constitutional changes in place to restrict abortions.
Police Use Tear Gas On Protesters For Abortion Rights In Arizona
To disperse a gathering protesting the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade’s abortion rights, Arizona police used tear gas on the mob.
On 24 June, hundreds of people gathered at the state Capitol, a spectacle that was repeated in towns around the nation. The Department of Public Safety reported that “troopers used tear gas outside the Senate building after protestors attempted to damage the glass.”
