Hulk used to be the #1 or #2 most formidable MCU character. The powerhouse capable of destroying even planets has always been the top contender for the strongest Avengers. The Hulk is a fan-favorite character and also one of Marvel’s greatest superheroes. But two new characters introduced in Phase 4 of the MCU are even more formidable than the green behemoth.
What Is The New Position Of Hulk In Marvel
Since the post-credits sequence in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, fans have been curious about Bruce Banner’s present place in the franchise. Mark Ruffalo’s character has been playing a supporting role in the post-Infinity Saga MCU. He last appeared as the Hulk in Avengers: Endgame as “Intelligent Hulk.”
Previously regarded as one of the most ferocious Avengers, second only to Thor, the Hulk has seen numerous MCU heroes surpass him in terms of capability. Figures like Thanos and Captain Marvel have eclipsed the Hulk’s strength. In addition to magical users such as Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch. The MCU’s power scale is constantly shifting as new characters are introduced to the franchise.
The advent of both Rintrah and Zeus knocks the Hulk down two spots on the MCU’s most formidable characters list. Rintrah, a minotaur educated in mystical arts influenced by poet William Blake’s writings, will feature in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It can be seen in the film’s first official trailer. Rintrah is expected to be Doctor Strange’s apprentice, like in the comics. In Incredible Hulk, an extraterrestrial monster from the planet R’Vall confronted the Hulk, and the magical minotaur accidentally knocked out the green behemoth.
Rintrah And Zeus Are In The List Of Strongest MCU Characters
It’s unclear how big of a part Rintrah and Zeus will play in the MCU. Given that the picture will have to handle Scarlet Witch’s tale and the MCU’s iteration of the Illuminati, it’s not out of the question that the minotaur wizard will be a backdrop or supporting figure in Multiverse of Madness. Zeus, on the other hand, plays a larger part in Thor: Love and Thunder. It is evident by the casting of Russel Crowe in the character.
It’s also worth mentioning that the current Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Smart Hulk, isn’t as powerful as the original Hulk. The Hulk’s fight with Hela’s wolf Fenris in Thor: Ragnarok was the MCU’s final show of power. The Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame mainly neglecting the character’s warrior aspect. As Bruce Banner is all set to appear in She-Hulk, speculations of a World War Hulk film have began to circulate.
Both Doctor Strange 2’s Rintrah and Thor: Love and Thunder’s Zeus have demonstrated their strength in the comics by beating the Hulk, and Phase 4 of the MCU continues to grow the list of Marvel characters in the series. It’s doubtful that those two main characters would encounter Hulk in the same conditions as in the comics, but the films will undoubtedly find other methods to highlight Rintrah and Zeus’ abilities.
