Star Wars: Indra Verma Reveals That Her Character Tala Was Originally A Love Interest For Obi-Wan Kenobi

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, actress Indira Verma revealed that her character Tala in Star Wars: The Last Jedi was originally intended to be a love interest for Obi-Wan Kenobi.

While this news might not be too surprising to diehard fans of the franchise, it’s interesting to look at Tala’s role in the movie from another perspective. Tala is an Imperial officer, She has a lot at stake in the events of The Last Jedi – and her interactions with Luke Skywalker give us a unique glimpse into the way the Force can shape our destiny.

Indra Verma is also a fan of the “Star Wars” franchise, so she was familiar with the characters and backstory.

Some fans have criticized Verma’s casting because they believe that she is not physically or racially accurate for the role of Tala. However, Filoni defended her casting, saying that she brings a certain level of authenticity to the role.

The film is set several years before “The Force Awakens,” and Tala is a member of the warrior tribe known as The Mandalorians. The character will be introduced in the upcoming season of “The Mandalorian”.

Fans were quick to identify Verma in her role as Ellaria Sand, a member of the Imperial army who was responsible for creating the dreadful Kingdom in Game of Thrones. The Star Wars universe is crazy about red herrings. On the planet Mapuzo, Tala, played by Felicity Jones, killed the Stormtroopers who were protecting Obi-Wan Kenobi and Princess Leia.

She betrayed the Jedi order in order to maintain The Path, an exclusive network for Jedi, operational.

Tala, a character from Star Wars Episode 3, comes to the aid of stormtroopers and Darth Vader. Tala is likely going to have an important supporting role in the remaining episodes of the series as well as any spin-offs.
