The Crown Goes Hush: Why Royal Family Isn’t Addressing Prince Andrew’s Name On The Jeffrey Epstein List?

Prince Andrew is surrounded by an intriguing silence in the quiet hallways of Buckingham Palace, while the tabloids resound with the sound of unsealed Jeffrey Epstein court records. The royal family is deliberately quiet amid the Epstein list, which has a former member mired in controversy.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl offers a nuanced perspective on the palace’s methodical approach to the recent claims. She highlights the fine line between individual disputes between Prince Andrew and the Royal Organization’s public perception.

This calculated strategy of Buckingham Palace Prince amidst the Epstein Court records making headlines is explained by royal analyst Katie Nicholl. Katie highlights that Prince Andrew’s withdrawal from official royal duties in 2019, right before the exit of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. That decision prevents Buckingham Palace from making statements on his behalf.

A royal expert emphasized the royal family’s steadfast position in a recent statement to ET, saying, “Prince Andrew is no longer a working member of the royal family. Buckingham Palace is not obligated to respond on his behalf.” This calculated silence illustrates the palace’s strategic response to a fast-changing public narrative.

When it comes to the allegations against the stepped-down prince, there is quite a lot to catch up to. Let us start with the 2001 case that makes him a serious name on the Epstein list. Virginia Giuffre, the woman who filed a lawsuit against him, claimed that he groped a woman at Epstein’s Manhattan townhouse in her presence.

The case is wildly known as the ‘Puppet Incident’. The story is about Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s close friend and associate, who brought out a puppet that looked like Prince Andrew as a joke. The joke continued to the point where Maxwell had her breasts touched by the puppet’s hand. She also witnessed, in the same moment, Prince Andrew putting his hands on the breast of Johanna Sjoberg.

The allegations are based on Sjoberg’s testimony from Maxwell and Giuffre’s 2015 defamation trial. Sjoberg said in her statement that she never saw the pictures that Maxwell allegedly shot of the alleged attack involving the puppet.

Nicholl calls the allegations “bizarre,” pointing out Maxwell’s denial of providing the puppet to Prince Andrew. Despite the court documents, Prince Andrew’s unwavering stance on having no involvement with Jeffery Epstein’s island remains consistent.
