Beyonce skipped the Met Gala this time. It must be noted that her last appearance was back in 2016 for the Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology.
Lady Gaga has been the co-chair for the event. She did not attend it this time for unknown reasons.
Blake Lively attended the event until last year. Her last appearance was back in 2022 and it was for the ‘Gilded Glamour’ theme.
Taylor Swift missed the Met Gala this year. Swift has not revealed anything and although she is busy with her tour, there was no show on May 1, 2023.
Miley Cyrus appeared at the Met Gala in 2019 with Liam Hemsworth. But she never returned to the event again.
Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner were absent from the event. However, they went last year for the ‘Gilded Glamour’ theme.
Hailey Bieber has regularly gone to Met Gala. The reason behind her absence this year is being speculated as her struggle with her mental health.
Selena Gomez appeared for the last time at the event in 2018. She is possibly taking a break after filming ‘Only Murders in the Building’ Season 3.
Katy Perry has attended the event every year. But she remained absent this year as she was live taping for ‘American Idol.’
Zendaya last went to the Met Gala in 2019 and gained recognition for her outfit. However, she was absent this year.
