Felony criminal charges have been filed against actor Alec Baldwin and the armorer following the  fatal shooting of the film 'Rust's cinematographer.

The charges have been pressed on Baldwin and the weapon handler after more than a year of doubts on who needs to be blamed for Halyna Hutchin's death.

The incident took place on October 21, 2021 when Hutchins was shot in her chest while rehearsing a scene with Baldwin.

The director of the film, Joel Souza was also wounded in the process.  Along with Baldwin and the armorer, the assistant director will also face charges.

In Hutchins' death, Baldwin has been charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter by the New Mexico prosecutors.

On the other hand, the weapon's handler Hannah Gutierrez Reed, who loaded the gun  is also charged with involuntary manslaughter.

David Halls, the assistant director , who handed the loaded revolver to Baldwin accepted a misdemeanor charge.

The shooting happened at the set of low-budget western 'Rust'. It is a popular movie location in a old wooden church at the Bonanza Creek Ranch near Santa Fe.
