Alec Baldwin Sued By Halyna Hutchins' Family Over Rust Film Shooting

The family of cinematographer Haylina Hutchins who was killed on the set of Rust have recently filed a lawsuit against Alec Baldwin along with all those who were a part of the film.

Hutchins’ parents along with other family members have filed the lawsuit and this also includes the film’s armorer, of battery, negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress and loss of consortium.

Baldwin has been charged for his role in the incident that happened back in 2021 and armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, recently settled the lawsuit with Hutchins’ husband and son.

The lawsuit is also aiming to offer accountability and justice to Haylina’s family members who were dependent on the cinematographer for emotional and financial support.

Allred, who also represents the family, mentioned at a press conference that the relationships of the clients who were affected and could not enjoy their life like they did when Halyna was alive.

Halyna died back in October 2021 and she was injured during the rehearsal for the western on a ranch on the outskirts of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Baldwin was holding a gun which accidentally fired at Hutchins.

Hutchins’ family was severely affected from her death and Allred stated that the family has been already suffering a lot in the war in Ukraine.

Baldwin has not yet apologized to the family so far and Allred mentioned that they want accountability and justice for the entire family for now.
