Ana De Armas To Star In ‘John Wick’ Spin-Off ‘Ballerina’

Ana de Armas has been proving her skills with her flawless acting performances in various films in the recent years.

De Armas will next appear in the action thriller film, Ballerina, which is directed by Len Wiseman and written by Shay Hatten and Emerald Fennell.

The basic premise of the film will be taking place between the events of the third and fourth John Wick films where Rooney will search for those who killed her family members.

Ballerina will feature Ian McShane, Keanu Reeves, Lance Reddick, Anjelica Huston, Norman Reedus and Gabriel Byrne in other important roles.

Casting process for the film began in 2020 and Chloe Grace Mortez was being considered for the role. However, de Armas was confirmed to play the lead by 2021.

The rest of the cast members joined by November 2022 and more number of faces were brought in and finalized by December the same year.

Principal photography for the film was scheduled to start from summer of 2022 and filming officially began by November 2022.

The soiree took place at a private residence in Beverly Hills — which celebrated 25 years of the Anastasia brand, did so with the help of '25 iconic women who inspired her journey.'
