Annie Wersching passed away on January 29 at the age of 45. In 2020, she was diagnosed with unspecified cancer but continued working after the diagnosis.
After battling the deadly disease for two years, she breathed her last on Sunday.
Wersching is best known for her motion-capture performance and voice work as Tess in the popular video game, ‘The Last of Us‘.
She has also acted in television shows like ’24’, ‘The Vampire Diaries’, ‘General Hospital’, ‘Bosch’ and ‘Timeless.’
She was married to actor and comedian Stephen Full and the couple had three sons together, Eddie (12) Ozzie (9), and Archie (4).
Born on March 28, 1977, in St. Louis Missouri, Annie started her career in a guest role in a 2002 episode of ‘Star Trek: Enterprise.’
Annie’s death was announced via a GoFundMe campaign for financial support for her family. ‘The Last of Us‘ creative director Neil Druckmann tweeted to pay his last respect to Annie.
“We just lost a beautiful artist and human being. My heart is shattered. Thoughts are with her loved ones“, he tweeted.
