Beyoncé X Balmain 'Renaissance' Couture Dresses

WRITTEN BY NISHANT BHISE

Beyoncé collaborated with the Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing to create magical couture using the 'Renaissance' album as the reference.

He was inspired from the "I'm That Girl' song to create the Elie Hirsch designed a bustier hammered metal with metal spikes over the skirt and black lamb leather gloves.

Olivier used "Cozy" as a reference for a 'feu d'artifice' black velvet dress with embroidered pink feathers and black velvet turban paired with boots.

A macrame gown made with mixed fabrics which include black silk, rayon, and leather threads. The bodice is created with embroidered black-dyed pheasant feathers.

Taking inspiration from the "Energy" track, Balmain created a gown using braiding and embroidery with Lurex threads inspired from African motifs.

Using the 2022 summer anthem "Break My Soul", he created a shiny velvet hooded drape dress with a bustier giving the illusion of a bare torso which is electroplated in black chrome.

The "Church Girl" song is translated into a unique design. It includes a Black and Red coat with a 3D metal bustier electroplated in a black chrome. It is topped with a vinyl-inspired circular hat.

A corolla gown with a second velvet, pink skin along with another Elie Hirsch metallic sculpt bustier with a signature Balmain hat converted into a hammered metal design.
