Billy McFarland Officially Announces Fyre Festival 2.0

Fyre Media founder Billy McFarland has officially announced the second edition of the notorious music festival via Twitter.

The tweet didn't mention any dates, venues, or a list of musical acts or provide follow-up answers to any tweets asking for details.

Ja Rule told People he  will have no part in the festival's second edition, saying, "I don't know nothing about it. I ain't in it!"

Billy McFarland and Ja Rule organized the Fyre Festival, an extravagant music festival and a grand cultural experience.

The attendees were shocked to see the lack of facilities, and many of them were left stranded on the island with no provisions.

Billy McFarland and Ja Rule were named in a $100 million class-action lawsuit. Federal agents arrested Billy on June 30, 2017, for wire fraud relating to the festival.

Unlike McFarland, Ja Rule was cleared of all charges in the $100m class-action lawsuit against them.

In June 2018, McFarland was arrested again for selling fake tickets to the Coachella Festival and the Met Gala.

In October 2022, the convicted fraudster announced his new business venture, PYRT, described as a "virtual immersive decentralized reality" to take place in Bahamas.

The Government of the Bahamas was quick to deny their participation, refusing to be partners with a "fugitive."
