The 64-year-old spoke to Radio Times about the decision to adopt her 2013 Bridget Jones book Mad About the Boy for the big screen.
"No, I know Helen's [Fielding] written the book, and I love this character. So, I mean, if they call me, I'll go running," the 53-year-old actress Renée Zellweger had responded earlier.
The plot will revolve around Bridget navigating the trials and tribulations of motherhood with her now grown-up son.
The original cast including Colin Firth, Jim Broadbent, and Emma Thompson will make it to the Bridget comeback. But sadly the dates of release have not been confirmed yet.
