Elon Musk To Remove Twitter Accounts With Infrequent Usage

According to Elon Musk’s new policy, several accounts will no longer be active due to inactivity. 

As a result, there will be a significant drop in numner of users of the microblogging platform.

Users have been suggested to long once in 30 days to keep their accounts. 

Following the account suspension, Twitter will be able to free up usernames that have been collecting dust for years, bringing in more users shortly.

Elon Musk elaborated on his new policy in this latest tweet, “We’re purging accounts that have had no activity at all for several years, so you will probably see follower count drop.”

In a separate tweet, he said inactive accounts will become a part of the archive. Currently, there are no details about the process to access the archived accounts by the users.

The Twitter CEO recently introduced Twitter Blue to reduce the number of fake accounts on the platform.

At a subscription fee, Twitter Blue allows you additional features. The goal is to make Twitter a broader service without the hassle of bots and trolls.
