‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’ Sweeps Independent Spirit Awards

Everything Everywhere All At Once has managed to emerge victorious at the recent 2023 Film Independent Spirit Awards which was held on Saturday.

Michelle Yeoh won the best lead performance, Stephanie Hsu won best breakthrough performance and Ke Huay Quan won best supporting performance.

The filmmaking duo Daniels also won best screenplay and best director while Paul Rogers won the award for best editing for the film.

Following her victory, Yeoh said expressed her gratitude towards the writers for penning a screenplay that gave them the opportunity to stand there.

Yeoh added that she wants to dedicate the award to her mothers and without them, no one would have been there and thanked everyone for believing in all those involved.

Yeoh even mentioned that without their community, families and the independent film community, the script would have never become what it was.

Directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, Everything Everywhere All at Once was released on March 25, 2022 and received positive reviews.

The film has been a recipient of 11 nominations at the upcoming 95th Academy Awards and has been a recipient of different accolades at Golden Globe Awards, BAFTA Awards, and SAG Awards.
