‘Game Of Thrones’ Prequel About Aegon’s Conquest In Talks At Hbo

‘Game of Thrones’ prequel ‘House of the Dragon’ emerged as a success after its premiere. Now another prequel about Aegon’s conquest is being planned.

The show is in development so no writer has been attached to the project until now. A source said that HBO is keen to move forward with the project.

Other sources mentioned that a few more options are being considered. HBO and Warner Bros. might produce a film leading to a series.

The series will tell the story of how Aegon and his sister-wives, Visenta and Rhaenys, used their army and three dragons to conquer six kingdoms in Westeros except for Dorne.

Aegon I later became the king of Westeros, the first to sit on the Iron Throne, and the Targaryen Dynasty’s founder. All this happened 300 years before ‘Game of Thrones.’

This will also be the latest project based on Westeros. After the success of ‘Game of Thrones’, a few more series are under development.

Meanwhile, an abandoned pilot about the Long Night featuring Naomi Watts was filmed. However, it was canceled in 2019.

Although many projects were announced over the year, ‘House of the Dragon’ was the only one to move forward. It was later renewed for a second season.
