Hilarie Burton discussed her traumatizing experience with 'One Tree Hill' in elaboration on the podcast 'Drama Queens.'

Hilarie Burton told the co-hosts Bethany Joy Lenz and Sophia Bush about how she was assaulted during the filming of the episode 'It Gets Worse at Night.'

Hilarie Burton recalled, "The flight back from that is when he assaulted me. He assaulted me again in the car on the drive from Raleigh to Wilmington."

It made her time on the set a living hell until she talked about it with Chad Michael Murray. He later confronted his boss about his misbehavior.

Despite at being at odds with the 'One Tree Hill' creator, he was the first one on the call sheet. This shielded him from losing his job, and he confronted his boss about the assault.

Hilarie Burton recalled, "Chad [Michael Murray] walked up and goes, 'What are you doing?" to  'One Tree Hill' creator.

Hilarie Burton said she's always thankful to Chad Michael Murray for having her back and hopes more people follow his lead in the future.

Mark Schwahn was first accused of sexual assault by staff writer Audrey Wauchope. Later, Hilarie Burton, Daneel Harris, and various female cast and crew members came forward with their stories.

Mark Schwahn found himself in hot waters once again when he was accused of sexual harassment on the sets of his show 'The Royals'.

An open letter detailing his constant harassment was panned by 'The Royals' cast and crew, prompting his swift firing from the show.
