The charming and amiable star DJ of the ‘Ellen DeGeneres Show’, Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss has died at the age of 40. The death was confirmed by the dancer’s wife Allison Holker Boss.
Boss started off his famous career as a contestant in MTV’s ‘The Wade Robson Project’. And his recent major media appearance was in the final season of ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’.
Boss became a runner-up in ‘Star Search’ and later went on to compete in ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ in 2008. He ended up as a runner-up in this competition too.
Later in 2022, tWitch returned to the show as one of its judges. The demise of this much-loved artist has been a shock to both the media industry and the public.
Boss died by suicide, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. It was by a self-inflicted gunshot to the head. The death happened on December 13, 2022.
The 40-year-old was found dead in a motel in the Encino neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Holker had already informed the Los Angeles Police Department that Boss had left home without the car which was unusual. The case is officially closed as there are “no signs of foul play”.
“It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us. Stephen lit up every room he stepped into,” Holker shared through NBC News.
It was in 2014 that tWitch joined ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’. Through the show, the DJ became a global star loved by everyone.
“I’m heartbroken. tWitch was pure love and light. He was my family, and I loved him with all my heart. I will miss him,” Ellen DeGeneres tweeted.
