James Earl Jones To Stop Voicing Darth Vader: What Happened?

James Earl Jones, famous for providing Darth Vader’s iconic voice, will not record for new “Star Wars” projects.

Jones’ voice will now be created with the help of an AI program, so Vader can keep on living.

Jones, 91, last recorded Vader voice cameo for the 2019 sequel ‘The Rise of Skywalker’.

The actor parted his ways with the role after Lucasfilm’ showed its intention to use AI to recreate his voice.

Jones helped the studio and was involved throughout the process of perfecting Vader’s voice for ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’.
