Jewel Says Her Mother Embezzled Over $100m From The Singer

Jewel has recently spoken about her relationship with her parents and how it had an impact on her mental health.
During a recent episode of Verywell Mind Podcast with Amy Morin, Jewel said that her mother Lenedra, who was her manager, stole her money worth $100 million.
Jewel mentioned that she did not realize it was her mother involved in the stealing of her money until she turned 30 years old.
Jewel added that when she was 34 years old, she realized that she had a debt of $3 million to pay and that her mother was not who she was and it was a difficult psychological thing to come to terms with.
Jewel also addressed about her childhood and her relationship with her mother, saying that her parents got divorced when she was eight years old.
Jewel stated that she was raised by her father but things were still not so good for her because he was abusive towards her.
She described her father as an alcoholic but that her mother was different as she was calm, soft and never shouted at anyone.
Jewel has previously spoken about her childhood in her memoir where she said that neither her father nor her mother were villains.
