Kanye West Says Jonah Hill Made Him ‘Like Jewish People Again’

Kanye West, also known as Ye, had a pretty eventful last year, wherein he did everything controversial possible. He made anti-Semitic comments, wore White Lives Matter t-shirt, threatened his ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s then boyfriend Pete Davidson, and much more.

The rapper would go on never-ending rants on his Instagram account. As his account was suspended, the rapper started laying low and hadn’t posted in many months. But he broke his social media sabbatical to post on late Friday, March 24.

Kanye West posted the poster of the film ’21 Film Street’ featuring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum. He said in the caption for it, “Watching Jonah Hill in 21 Jump Street made me like Jewish people again.”

West continued, “No one should take anger against one or two individuals and transform that into hatred towards millions of innocent people.” He also said, “No Christian can be labeled anti-Semite knowing Jesus is Jew.”

West ended the post saying, “Thank you Jonah Hill I love you.” Thus, the rapper backtracked from the Anti-Semitic comments that he had made towards the end of the year. In October 2022, he had tweeted he was going to go, “death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE.”

The rapper was also declared as the Anti-Semite of the year by StopAntisemitism group because of his comments. Many celebrities as well politicians condemned statements made by West. West also walked out of an interview after being challenged on his views.

The rapper’s wealth also plunged after he made Anti-Semitic comments as brands like Balenciaga, Gap and Adidas broke their ties with the rapper. It was reported that his net worth halved as a consequence of his statements.

Many people don’t believe the rapper’s recent post on social media. Responses to Kanye's tweet have come from his fans as well as general public. Some feel the musician has recognized his previous mistakes, while others have made memes thinking this yet another tactic made by West to gain favor.

One person commented saying, "This is the most kanye apology ever." Other person said, “Bro apologises like my mom." Yet another commented, “Jonah Hill converting Kanye to like Jews again was not on my 2023 bingo card.” Has the rapper really had a change of heart? Only time will tell.
