Kanye West lost credibility when he went on a hate spree against Jews and African Americans in the US.

But, beneath the larger controversy, there are many lawsuits buried which are rearing its heads now.

In December 2022, Katelyn Mooney, a freelance creative director filed a lawsuit against Yeezy for not paying her remaining remuneration.

She was the creative director on Yeezy's YZY SHDZ photo shoot in September 2022, where the fashion giant agreed to pay $110,000 to her.

However, despite Yeezy promising to pay after Ye's approval, Katelyn just got $15,000 for the project on which she bear all the costs.

As per the lawsuit filed in the Manhattan Supreme Court, due to nonpayment of dues, Mooney had to take loans to cover her monthly costs.

Now, Judge Gerald Lebovits has ruled that Yeezy should pay Mooney $300,000 for failing to respond to the court papers.

Katelyn Mooney will be paid $90,000 for actual damages and $205,000 will cover the statutory damage.
