British actress Keira Knightley appeared on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' to promote her movie 'Boston Strangler.'

Jimmy Fallon asked about her film sports classic film 'Bend It Like Beckham,' which turns 20 this year.

When asked about the film's perceived success, the British actress spilled the beans, recalling people thought it was "embarrassing."

"No. No, no. I mean, I literally remember telling people that I was doing it, and saying, you know, it's called 'Ben It Like Beckham' and then going, "Oh, that's really embarrassing," said the actress.

However, all this doubt wasn't without reason. Keira Knightley added that idea of women's soccer wasn't huge 20 years ago.

Keira Knightley recently talked about how she 'felt very stuck' while working on the 'Pirates Of The Caribbean.'

Only 17 at the time of the release, her character was overtly sexualized for the male gaze.

Recently, Keira Knightley spoke to ET on the 'Boston Strangler' premiere, confirming she won't return to the Johnny Depp-led franchise.
