The role earned her an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe.

Born on January 12, 1951, in Wichita, Kansas, Kirstie' had two siblings.

She dropped out of college to join Scientology and shifted to Los Angeles.

In 1981, she made her acting debut with 'Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan'. She portrayed officer Saavik.

From 1997 to 2000, Kirstie headlined the sitcom 'Veronica's Closet' which earned her several nominations.

On December 5, 2022, Alley passed away from colon cancer at 71. She had been undergoing treatment for it in Tampa, Florida.
