Lady Gaga To Play Harley Quinn Opposite Joaquin Phoenix In 'Joker: Folie A Deux'

Lady Gaga has managed to impress everyone with her acting performances and singing skills in all these years. But she is scheduled to appear in another big-budget project.

Director of Joker: Folie a Deux, Todd Philllips, posted a picture on Instagram featuring Gaga where she appears as Harley Quinn.

Gaga also posted the same picture on her social media page which featured her and Joaquin Phoenix in the moments following a kiss and red lipstick was smudged all over Phoenix’s face.

Gaga’s involvement was confirmed a long time ago by People and the news was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter last year.

Gaga later confirmed her casting in the film in August last year and she also posted an animated teaser video featuring her and Joaquin Phoenix’s silhouettes dancing to some old music.

Lady Gaga was also the one who revealed the official title of the film alongside the release date. Further details about her role have not been revealed so far.

Margot Robbie previously portrayed the role of Quinn and she has sent her best wishes to Gaga, saying that she always wanted Quinn to be a character like Macbeth or Batman, who is played by different actors every time.

Joker: Folie a Deux is scheduled for theatrical release on October 4, 2024. The film will also feature Zazie Beetz, Brendan Gleeson and Catherine Keener in other important roles.
