Matthew McConaughey addressed his experience on a Lufthansa flight last month. He described it as the ‘hell of a scare.’

He appeared on the Let’s Talk Off Camera podcast and stated that he and his wife Camila were traveling to Frankfurt, Germany from Austin, Texas.

McConaughey added that the flight experienced severe turbulence and dropped 4,000 feet following which seven people had to be hospitalized.

Matthew revealed that it was zero gravity and everything was suspended and floating in the air. He added that he witnessed everything for a few seconds when things crashed down.

The actor said that his tray table held him down and his seatbelt was off. He stated that there was no seatbelt warning and he immediately checked on Camila to check if she was fine.

Speaking further, he said that people were silent and a few others had big bursts of laughter. He mentioned that he was in shock after the incident.

Matthew and Camila’s friend was a pilot, who tried to calm them down by saying that the Airbus A330 planes are tested and structurally built to handle such incidents.

Camila revealed that they went on board the flight on March 1, 2023, and also posted a video of the turbulence inside the cabin.
