In 2022, a  Studio Ghibli theme park opened in the Aichi prefecture in Japan. It was opened on November 1 2022 after the disruptions caused by COVID-19.

The park is said to be divided into five areas; Hill of youth, Ghibli's largest warehouse, Mononoke's village, Valley of witches, and Dondoko forest.

In a disheartening incident however, a group of three men was found to be groping the statues in the 'Studio Ghibli' Theme park.

The pictures were posted on Twitter in late February and it created an outrage among visitors as well as fans.

Hideaki Omura, the governor prefecture, showcased his disapproval. He even stated that if people were to come here to do such things, then they shouldn't be visiting the park at all.

The governor states that these people would receive legal punishment for their actions. However, a few days ago it was revealed that the three men had apologized for their actions and showed genuine remorse.

A known person (not involved in the incident) of the three men approached the park and conveyed the group's guilt. The three men met the governor and apologized for their actions.

Hideaki Omura, who was adamant about legally punishing the men, softened a little after meeting them. He said that their remorse was genuine. He said that he would like the matter to be closed now.
