'The Breakfast Club' and 'Pretty And Pink' actress Molly Ringwald recently revealed she was the first choice for 'Pretty Woman.'

Molly Ringwald told The Guardian, "Julia Roberts was wonderful in it, but I didn't really like the story. Even then, I felt like there was something icky about it."

In 2012, Molly Ringwald did an AMA Reddit session where she recalled rejecting the movie, then titled ‘$3,000.’

Years later, Ringwald has no regrets about her choice and remains a fan of Roberts' performance.

Molly Ringwald made her name in Hollywood by starring in John Hughes' classic teen movies 'The Breakfast Club,' 'Pretty in Pink,' and 'Sixteen Candles.'

The Brat Pack actress also told The Guardian about being rejected for 'The Silence Of The Lambs' and 'Working Girls' during her 20s.

Unlike Jodie Foster, Molly Ringwald found it harder to find "darker roles" as an adult.

She told the outlet, "The ones that I wanted to do, I didn't get. I was too young for certain roles. I was at this weird in-between stage."
