HBO Max and Discovery+ are now collaborating with Chuck Lorre to bring a new ‘Big Bang Theory’ series. The show will air on HBO Max.

Plot details of the series have not been revealed yet as the prequel, ‘Young Sheldon’, is currently airing its sixth season on CBS.

Warner Bros. and Lorre have been on good terms with each other for a long time. The new ‘Big Bang Theory’ series will be produced by the same studio.

The original show is currently available for streaming on HBO Max. Young Sheldon is already on top of the list of shows currently getting a positive response from the audience.

‘The Big Bang Theory’ ended in 2019 after airing 279 episodes. The reason was Jim Parsons who decided to exit the show. But Lorre was always interested in continuing the show for a few more seasons.

When the show concluded in 2019, the cast members earned $1 million for each episode. Lorre, on the other hand, had plans to expand the franchise beyond ‘Young Sheldon.’

Towards the end of ‘The Big Bang Theory’, Leonard and Penny were expecting their first child. This led to the discussion of a spinoff that would focus on the married couple becoming parents.

The new ‘Big Bang Theory’ series is Lorre’s latest show for Max. He has also been the executive producer of another CBS comedy series, ‘Bob Hearts Abishola.’
