The Duke of Sussex had his memoir 'Spare' released recently and it has already shattered the UK book sales record.

Prince Harry in the memoir says that he was only raised if the brother who is the heir apparent ever needed any new organs.

“Two years older than me, Willy was the Heir, whereas I was the Spare,” Prince Harry explains the title.

“I was the shadow, the support, the Plan B. I was brought into the world in case something happened to Willy,” Harry explained his situation as the sibling.

"But no one gave a damn whom I traveled with; the Spare could always be spared," Harry said when referring to how his father, then-the first heir in line and Prince William , the second in line never travelled together.

Prince Harry also explained how the term spare was not only a shorthand used by the press but even by his mother and grandmother.

"Wonderful! Now you’ve given me an Heir and a Spare — my work is done,” Prince Harry says is how his father had seen the second child's birth.

“Every boy and girl, at least once, imagines themselves as a prince or a princess. Therefore, Spare or no Spare, it wasn’t half bad to actually be one,” the 38-year-old had concluded.
