Prince William and Kate Middleton of the British royal family are admired by the world as the perfect couple. Their love story is quite the fairytale.
The two met as students at the University of St Andrews in Scotland in 2001 and started spending more and more time together.
Prince William proposed to Kate during a holiday in Kenya in 2010 as he felt it was the “right time.”
Of their courtship, William told The Telegraph, "We were friends for over a year first and it just sort of blossomed from then on."
The world witnessed their lavish 2011 wedding in Westminster Abbey. They then got the official titles of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Today, as William’s father has ascended the throne as King Charles, he and his wife are now Prince and Princess of Wales.
The couple has three children - Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
This year, on April 29, William and Kate celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary. Now, that’s the great romance of the heir to the British throne.
