The relationship between Prince William and the Duke of Sussex has been affected by the latter’s exit from the royal family.
It even led to a physical altercation once according to an excerpt of Harry’s memoir Spare obtained by The Guardian.
William physically attacked Harry over Meghan Markle.
Harry claims that William called Meghan “difficult,” “rude” and “abrasive”.
In response, Harry called it a “parrot[ing] of the press narrative” in the United Kingdom. It angered William who attacked Harry.
“It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor,” Harry wrote.
The prince wrote that he landed on a dog’s bowl and had a visible back injury. He then got to his feet and told William to leave.
The heated exchange between the brothers took place at Nottingham Cottage after William wanted to talk about the “rolling catastrophe” of his relationship with Harry.
