Singer R. Kelly has been recently sent to prison for 20 years in a hearing that was given in Chicago federal courtroom on Thursday.

The charges on him include child pornography and enticement of a minor for which he was given a lengthy sentencing in 2022.

He is currently serving his time in prison on charges of racketeering and sex trafficking that stemmed out in 2021 in a New York federal court.

According to US District Judge Harry D. Leinenweber mentioned in a court on Thursday that 19 years of the 20 year prison sentence would be served concurrently or the same time like the other sentence.

Before the sentencing, lawyer Christopher Brown read a statement offered by Kelly’s victim, known as Jane, which mentioned that she has lost her dignity because of Kelly.

The victim said that Kelly was abusive and dominating which made her suicidal and that she would be the girl that Kelly peed on.

The sentencing is a result of the accusations made on Kelly in all these years where he abused underage girls and he was also indicted on child pornography in 2002.

During his career as a recording artist, he sold around 75 million records and was a recipient of three Grammy Awards for a few of his songs.
