Robert Downey Jr. In Talks To Star In The Remake Of Alfred Hitchcock's 'Vertigo'

Deadline has reported that the 'Iron Man' actor is looking to star in Paramount Pictures' remake of the classic Alfred Hitchcock film 'Vertigo.'

Directed by Alfred Hitchcock, it stars James Stewart as John Ferguson, a detective hired by his old friend to investigate Madeleine Elster (Kim Novak), the latter's wife. 

While following her, Ferguson finds himself falling for the mysterious blonde beauty. 

Robert Downey Jr will play James Stewart's role in Paramount's remake.

Steven Knight, the British screenwriter behind the successful Netflix series 'Peaky Blinders' is writing the screenplay.

Robert Downey Jr. will also star in Adam Mckay's comedy 'Average Height, Average Build' with Amy Adams and Robert Pattinson.

The premise of 'Average Height, Average Build' brings politics and comedy together. The film is about a killer who uses political lobbyists to change laws to make it easier for him to kill.

Robert Pattinson plays the killer, and Amy Adams plays the lobbyist assisting Pattinson. Robert Downey Jr will play a retired cop who won't rest until he finds the responsible culprit.
