Sarah Michelle Gellar is mostly known for her performance as Buffy in the supernatural drama series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

The actress recently spoke about a few problems in Hollywood including the superhero projects produced by Marvel Studios.

Gellar criticized the fact that the MCU franchise has not focused much on the female superhero movies and they have not received a lot of priority.

Sarah stated that there is a mentality among the audience that only male can be superheroes while the females don’t deserve to do the same.

In the past, MCU projects featuring female superheroes like Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel received a negative reaction in online platforms.

Despite the criticism, MCU is all set to bring The Marvels on July 28, 2023 which will be a sequel to Captain Marvel, released in 2019.

Another female centric show, Agatha: Coven of Chaos, is also scheduled to premiere in late 2023 on Disney+. It features Kathryn Hahn playing the lead role.

Sarah Michelle Gellar played the role of Kristin Ramsey in the Paramount+ supernatural teen drama series, Wolf Pack, which premiered on January 26, 2023.
