Russia Blames US For Kremlin Drone Attack

Russia has charged the US for being involved in a supposed drone attack on the Kremlin intended to kill Vladimir Putin.

Kremlin’s spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that Ukraine was implementing plans proposed by Washington but did not have evidence to support the allegations.

Peskov added that they know the decisions of such actions are never made in Kyiv and Kyiv does what it is told to do.

Volodymyr Zelenskiy and other Ukrainian officials have denied the allegations that Ukraine was involved in the drone attack.

Video footage on Wednesday showed two flying objects approaching the Kremlin and one of them hit the rooftop of the Kremlin Senate.

Peskov also revealed that Putin was not in the building when the attack happened. But US national security council spokesperson John Kirby accused Peskov of lying.

Kirby told MSNBC that he can assure that the US was never involved. Addressing Peskov’s comments, he said that they had nothing to do with it.

Meanwhile, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that the US is not encouraging or allowing Ukraine to strike beyond its borders.
