'Saving Private Ryan' Actor Tom Sizemore Dies At 61


Tom Sizemore died from a brain aneurysm on March 3, 2023. He has been in coma after a ruptured brain aneurysm on February 18, 2023. 

Tom Sizemore found fame in the 1990s with parts in 'Natural Born Killers,' 'True Romance', and  'Heat.'

He played Sergeant Horbath in the 1998 Oscar-winning film 'Saving Private Ryan.'

He  wrote about his drug addictions in the 2013 autobiography 'Some Miracle I Made it Out of There.'

In his autobiography, he recalled how Robert De Niro pushed him to get treatment for his drug addictions. 

Despite his best efforts, Tom Sizemore struggled to stay clean. In 2003, he was arrested and given a six-month prison sentence for domestic violence. 

In 2005, Tom Sizemore went back to jail as he violated his probation by failing a drug test.

A 2007 documentary series, 'Shooting Sizemore,' documented his efforts to reclaim his life and career.
