Some Royals Are Delighted Meghan Markle Is Skipping Coronation

BBC reporter Tom Bower said in an interview: "I think everyone’s delighted she’s not coming.”

He was talking about Meghan Markle who will be staying in California with her children on May 6.

The Buckingham Palace recently announced that Prince Harry will be going solo to attend the event.

"They made sure that she wasn’t going to come by making sure that she was told she’d have to curtsy three times, that she wouldn’t be in the spotlight, that she wouldn’t play any part in the whole thing and that if she came, they’d be put in row 54 in the back behind the column," he joked.

It has been speculated that the Duchess of Sussex decided to skip the event as her children were not invited.

The coronation day is also coinciding with the 4th birthday of her son Prince Archie.

The announcement put an end to months long speculation about the couple attending the coronation.

King Charles is reportedly happy that Harry will be attending but "he is very disappointed" that Meghan won't be in attendance.
