Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour On Its Way To Become Highest Earning Tour In History
WRITTEN BY SUMI DEKA
Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has been in the spotlight for a long time. It became popular after Ticketmaster was charged with interfering with tickets sale.
The tour was reported to hit around 52 cities and a poll has now revealed that it might become the highest-grossing tour of all time.
If things continue the way they are going, Swift might earn $520 million from her tour. This has left the possibility of Swift taking the tour to other countries like Europe, South America, and more.
When the tour was first announced, around 3.5 million people registered for Ticketmaster’s presale program for the U.S. leg.
The company’s website also crashed when the presale began on November 15, 2022. Around 2.4 million tickets were sold that day.
Taylor Swift described the tour as a journey of her musical eras. An Eras Tour show would last for three hours featuring performances of 44 songs divided into 10 acts.
Swift has not toured for her last three albums, including Lover, Folklore, and Evermore. The Eras Tour is being organized in support of all of her albums.
The 33-year-old released her first album in 2006. Her latest album, Midnights, was released in October 2022, reaching the top spot on the US Billboard 200.
