‘The Rings of Power’ is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings’ books.
The series will take viewers on a journey to the Second Age of Middle Earth when the twenty magical rings were forged by the instructions of Annatar.
The first season will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on September 2. It will have eight episodes.
Galadriel, born in Valinor, will be played by Morfydd Clark on the show.
Disa, Princess of the Dwarves of Khazad-dûm, will be essayed by Sophia Nomvete.
Robert Aramayo will play the younger Elrond, who was half-elf, but chose the Fate of Elves over being a Man.
Bronwyn, a healer from Tirharad village, will be played by Nazanin Boniadi.
Arondir, a Silvan Elf (Wood Elf), will be portrayed by Ismael Cruz Córdova.
Benjamin Walker plays Gil-galad, High King of the Elves in Middle-Earth.
