Tom Cruise To Shoot A Film In Outer Space

Cruise has come up with an idea that’s out of this world, literally. He has teamed up with ‘The Bourne Identity’ director Doug Liman to shoot a film in outer space.

The idea was first tabled in 2020 before the Covid-19 pandemic shelved their plans. Both are in talks with Universal Filmed Entertainment Group (UFEG) for a story where his character takes a rocket up to the International Space Station.

“I think Tom Cruise is taking us to space, he’s taking the world to space,” UFEG Chairman Donna Langley said.

“That’s the plan. We have a great project in development with Tom, taking a rocket up to the Space Station and shooting,” Langley continued.

He said that the climax of the film will have “the character [going] up to space to save the day” and Cruise might become “the first civilian to do a spacewalk outside of the space station.”
