10. The Avengers – The first installment in Marvel’s Avengers franchise took the world by storm. The movie released in 2012, has a worldwide box-office collection of $1.518 billion. The movie follows the original six superheroes who fight head-to-head against an extraterrestrial threat for the first time.

9. The Lion King – The 2019 movie The Lion King was based on Disney’s 1994 movie of the same name. The movie grossed $1.656 billion at the global box office. The movie follows Simba, the son of fallen lion king Mufasa who has to avenge his father’s death by defeating his uncle Scar.

8. Jurassic World – The 2015 science fiction film Jurassic World was a hit with movie-goers around the world. The movie collected $1.671 billion at the global box office.  The movie follows a genetically modified dinosaur that escapes from a luxury resort.
