Why Is Trevor Noah Leaving ‘Daily Show’?

 Noah was one of the most popular television show hosts in recent times. He successfully took over the baton from Jon Stewart for ‘The Daily Show‘ seven years ago and excelled in it.

During its Thursday episode, he announced that he is leaving the show after seven years as host. “I realized after the seven years, my time is up, but in the most beautiful way,” Noah told the audience.

He continued, “I’ve loved hosting this show. It’s been one of my greatest challenges. It’s been one of my greatest joys. I’ve loved trying to figure out how to make people laugh even when the stories are particularly shitty on the worst days.”

Noah said that returning to stand-up after a two-year hiatus because of the pandemic led him to realize he wanted to continue exploring other aspects of his life.

He thanked the network and show’s team for giving him a chance when he was unknown in the US. Noah also did not specify a timeline for when he would leave and stated that it would not happen immediately.
