Galentine's Day is celebrated on February 13. It is a holiday dedicated to best friends, in which ladies celebrate the women in their lives.

Yes, it falls a day before the romantic Valentine’s Day, where couples celebrate their relationship and love.

While showering gifts on your partner is a tradition of V-Day, Galentine's Day is all about the female bond.

Galentine's Day originated from the American sitcom ‘Parks And Recreation’. Its character Leslie Knope described the holiday in the best way.

Leslie said, “What's Galentine's Day? Oh, it's only the best day of the year” in an episode that aired in 2010.

She added, “Every February 13th, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it—breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies.”

Soon, it became a much-anticipated holiday. Irrespective of their relationship status, women - single and coupled up - enjoy G-Day.

You can plan meals, drinks and outfits together to mark the special holiday - Galentine's Day. So, it’s a date with your gal pals.
