Elon Musk bid everything in order to resurrect Twitter into a "digital town square of democracy".

When he took over Twitter as the new CEO, the company started losing money after advertisers started pulling out.

Since then Elon Musk started firing employees until February 2023.

In February 2023, Elon Musk fired an engineer after he did not receive a satisfactory explanation over the decline of his Twitter engagement.

After Super Bowl, Elon Musk's cousin James Musk asked the engineers to go through the algorithm to see a bug which has caused decline in the impressions.

The reason was that his Philadelphia Eagles tweet receive only 9.1 million impressions and President Joe Biden's tweet received 29 million impressions.

A news platform 'Platformer' reported that some of Twitter's sources told them that Musk boosted his tweet visibility and impression artificially.

However, Elon Musk has refuted any such claim calling the article "bogus" and he said that Twitter will take a legal action against the alleged former employee.

However, the journalists Casey Newton and Zoë Schiffer said that Musk's response is completely false and they stand by their reporting.

Musk's engineer allegedly boosted his tweets and impressions artificially via "power user multiplier", which only apply to his tweets.
