The saga of layoffs has been continuing since Elon Musk acquired Twitter in October 2022

Along with many policy changes, Elon Musk started the revamping of Twitter by sacking the employees in November 2022.

In the first week of November 2022, Elon Musk sacked 3,700 employees, and then reduced the headcount of the contract workers.

After an ultimatum for a "hardcore" work environment, many employees staged a walkout from the company.

Now, CNBC has speculated that the number at Twitter has went down below 1,300 employees.

But, Elon Musk refuted the claim in a tweet informing that the company has 2,300 active workers.

However, there may be more  layoffs happening in the coming days. As per Insider, Elon Musk may sack more 50 employees from various departments.

Currently, Elon Musk is inundated with lawsuits from Tesla shareholders and former Twitter employees.
