Both anime are releasing their new seasons following their respective manga in 2023 and it is no secret that the entire anime community is excited about it. The manga of ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ has not yet ended whereas ‘Demon Slayer’ has already finished up.

What Are Jujutsu Kaisen And Demon Slayer?
‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ is an anime that follows the story of Itadori Yuji who is a normal high schooler. He is a member of the occult club which comes across a finger. That finger belongs to Ryomen Sukuna, who is the king of curses. The curses are attracted to this artifact and they attack the school. In a last effort to save his friends, Yuji eats that finger and becomes possessed by Sukuna. Fortunately, he regainS control. Then he is recruited by Gojo Satoru to eat the rest of the fingers.
‘Demon Slayer’ is an anime in which Tanjiro is the protagonist. Tanjiro Kamado lives with his family and used to be a wood collector. One day, he went to the forest and when he came back, he found that his entire family was slaughtered save for one sister. Nezuko had been turned into a demon by Kibutsuji Muzan who also murdered his family. After that Tanjiro vowed to find a cure for Nezuko. On that journey, he joins the demon slayer corps.
Which Anime Is More Popular?
Since their genres and plot lines seem similar, both anime have been compared with each other on quite a few occasions. Both anime are amazing and unique. They are both popular, but ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ is more popular out of the two.
‘Demon Slayer’ became popular after episode 19 of season one where there was a fighting sequence. Before that, it was not at all popular. ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ on the other hand shot to popularity from its earlier episodes. Its popularity just keeps on increasing.
When it comes to the storyline, ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ is better. Although it is of the shonen genre, it breaks many stereotypes which the fans and viewers love. Also, unlike much shonen anime, the protagonist is doomed to die from the get-go and that makes the storyline more intriguing. Which in turn helps with the anime’s popularity.
‘Demon Slayer’ also has an exceptional storyline, but some fans find it repetitive. In addition to that, they feel that Tanjiro won some battles that he should not have won because of plot Armour.
MyAnimeList released a ranking that compares the popularity of both the anime and ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ seems to have won that battle. This entails that ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ is more popular than ‘Demon Slayer’.
