The Oscars 2024 gave Emma Stone her second Oscar of her career, and just like her first ever win for ‘La La Land’, Ryan Gosling was there cheering for her, and the actress found a way to mention him in her acceptance speech.
Gosling, who was nominated for one award, but lost to Robert Downey Jr, also was a performer at the ceremony, taking the stage to perform his hit song ‘I’m Just Ken’. Here’s how Emma Stone mentioned him in her speech.

Emma Stone Blames Wardrobe Malfunction On Ryan Gosling
‘Poor Things‘ star Emma Stone took home the ‘Best Actress In A Leading Role’ award during the 2024 Oscars.
Right before she took to stage to accept her award, the actress went through a wardrobe malfunction and the zipper of her dress broke- something she blamed on Ryan Gosling’s ‘I’m Just Ken‘ performance.
“My dress is broken. I think it happened “I’m Just Ken,” Stone said.
As for her acceptance speech, Stone said, “I am so deeply honored to share this with every cast member, with every crew member, with every single person who poured their love and their care and their brilliance into the making of this film.”
She then thanked her family on an emotional note and said, “I really just want to thank my family, my mom, my brother, Spencer, my dad, my husband, Dave. I love you so much,” she said. “And most importantly, my daughter, who’s gonna be three in three days and has turned our lives technicolor. I love you bigger than the whole sky, my girl. So thank you so much.Don’t look at the back of my dress. Thank you.”
