Though Chalamet and Gomez are not from the same social circle, they have worked together in the 2019 rom-com ‘A Rainy Day in New York’. Chalamet was seemingly trying to take cover under his hoodie as he was spotted by paparazzi in California and was taken aback when spotted.

As the cameras a the Golden Globes captured Gomez in conversation with Taylor Swift and Keleigh Sperry during a commercial break, social media was quick to speculate what they were talking about. Fans suggested that Gomez mentioned Timothée Chalamet refusing to take a picture with her.
According to social media, Selen Gomez said, “I asked for a picture with him, and [Kylie] said no,” as per the fans’ claims. Swift was seen with a shocked face over the revelation, while Sperry was heard asking, “With Timothée?” to which Selena gave an affirmative nod.
Lip-reading expert Jeremy Freeman confirmed the claims on social media. He affirmed that Selena was saying, “He didn’t want a picture with me. He said no.”
